Every craft has a story to share with the art lovers whether its brassware to silver filigree. D. Krishna Chary is a traditional artisan who has expertise in Silver Filigree.

It is a delicate metal work that requires utmost care and concentration. Krishna Chary learned this art from his father. Krishna sits on a wood plank with a beautiful design moulded on it when he makes the Silver filigree items . When our team watched his demonstration we saw how he pulled the thin silver wires and tools from his little bag and started working on the design. All of us were quite surprised with his quickness but could not stop applauding his keen eye for detailing. “These are the unforgettable lessons taught by out forefather and we are keen on passing them onto the next generation,” Krishna said. He has received one of highest award for his master creation and continues to train new aspiring artisan who are passionate about this ancient art.
